Gadget lab has an interesting article on Canon Powershot A620 firmware hack, according to them, the CHDK firmware hack unlock several advanced features of Canon’s DIGIC II processor, these hidden features including a live histogram, a “Zebra mode,” a DOF calculator, and even a calendar, text reader, RAW mode and games, among other things.

Hp printers are not as cheap as what its competitor has to offer, the toner cost as much as the printer but somehow HP has the ability to retain and capture new market. I guess it must be their reliability and after sales services. I have a Canon S6300 Printer and a Canon Camera, both seems to break down after 6 months. I have to feed the paper one by one to avoid paper jam and my Canon camera has some focusing problem, they are charging USD125 to update the software. No more Canon.
