China could beat America to the moon race

With it growing economic and a weakening US dollar and economy, China is likely to beat the US in the moon race when President Bush told the entire nation that America would land again on the moon. Some of the key points are:

China has about 200,000 people working on its space program, about three times the number in the United States

China’s economic prowess is about twice that of America’s in the early 1960s

It would be nice if this healthy moon race would somehow benefits he entire human race, but we all knows that America is eye China’s space program with fear, fear that China’s space program might evolve into a space war program that will change the world’s super power in the future.
