For your information, Google Chrome for Mac is currently in development, and like many other products in the software market, Mac and Linux user have to wait at least 6 months to a year before it is available in their platform. However, it is worth waiting because according to Google’s VP of Product Management, Google Chrome for Mac will be much “faster” with lots of new features than the present Windows version. No surprises as the CEO of Google is one of the many directors in Apple, furthermore, Google’s enemy is Microsoft.
Please note that CrossOver Chromium for Apple Mac OS X requires OS X 10.4 or higher and an Intel CPU, PowerPC Macs are NOT supported. Below are the screen shots for both Mac and Linux platform. Download Google Chrome for Apple Mac OS and Linux from CodeWeaver’s website now!

If you’re running a Mac, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, QNX, OS/2, and BeOS do try the all new Opera 9.63, it is indeed beautifully engineered. Opera is the first browser to introduce the ‘tab’ feature and ‘Speed dial’ page found in all other competitor’s browser. They are indeed creative.

Google Chrome the new kid on the browser block, one word, the best browser. Google Chrome raised the browser standard one notch higher and one more alternative browser is healthy for the browser market, it means competition and competition produce results.
According to Google, Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier.
Truth is, it is more than a browser, the whole idea is to bring the ‘Operating System like Windows and Mac’ to the internet, in short, Google is out there to kill Microsoft Windows with Google Chrome, it has a new Java Script language, this allows web application developers an opportunity to create web applications that was not possible with other browsers.

Search box – Web search. Web history. Address bar. Suggestions as you type. One unified box serves all your browsing needs. Instead of having a separate search box like in most browser, in Google Chrome its the address bar and search box.

Paste and go – I’ve been waiting for this feature in Firefox and IE for quite sometime now, it just doesn’t make any sense to paste the URL and mouse over the ‘go’ button on the end of the address bar. Bravo Google Chrome!

Dynamic Tabs – You can drag tabs out of the browser to create new windows, gather multiple tabs into one window or arrange your tabs however you wish — quickly and easily.
I think I’m in love with this new browser. Like all Google products, it is in beta mode but it should be safe, just like gmail and more other Google products. According to the official press release:
Under the hood, we were able to build the foundation of a browser that runs today’s complex web applications much better. By keeping each tab in an isolated “sandbox”, we were able to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites. We improved speed and responsiveness across the board. We also built a more powerful JavaScript engine, V8, to power the next generation of web applications that aren’t even possible in today’s browsers.
I am a browser fanatic, having 6 types of browser, a comparison between IE6, IE7, Firefox 3, Opera 9.5, Safari 2 and Google Chrome, I can safely conclude that Google Chrome out shine all the others in term of user friendliness, a first for Google Product? I hate Gmail’s layout, probably it is just me with my old ways of reading and writing emails.
