Alternative Apple iPod Radio Remote FM Radio Receiver & Transmitter
Personally, I think all the iPods produced by Apple are really cool, innovative user interface and a slick eye catching design, however, the only thing stopping me from purchasing an iPod is the lack of FM receiver, which I believes every mp3 should have.

Like all Apple products, all bells and whistle comes with a cost, the Apple iPod Radio Remote is a FM receiver made by Apple, it is basically a plug and play add-on feature that is going to cost you $50 dollars, and it doesn’t work with iPod Touch, no reason given. Currently there are two alternatives FM receiver for iPod in the market, they are:
iFM, by Griffin Technologies
For half the price of Apple’s iPod Remote, this is the best bargain for those looking for an alternative, it is more or less the same with Apple’s iPod Remote, it draws power from the iPod, and the only difference is the weight, which is not significantly noticeable.
FM Xtra 2.0, by Digisette
Only Available in the UK, and it is powered by two AAA batteries, this is probably the worst or shall we say, user unfriendly FM receiver for iPod. Not to mention the design is horrible.

Microsoft has yet to officially announce the launch of the next generation Zune player but it appears that there might be a delay (as usual). No official statement was given, for those that are looking for a decent mp3 player with lots of features, my advise is to wait for Zune.
Microsoft may not be a very good hardware company but what makes Zune interesting is the fact that it has tons of features, one of the key features missing from Apple’s iPod is the FM radio.
According to Zune Scene, the next generation Zune is flash based. Visit Zune Scene for a comparison between Apple’s iPod and Microsoft Zune.
