It appeared that rumors for once is true, somehow someone manage to run Doom on Apple iPhone, not quite sure how these guy did it considering the fact that Apple prevent developers from writing softwares for iPhone. Running Doom on iPhone is the first challenge, the second challenge would be the playing part - there is no buttons, except for one.

iPhone Nano?

JPMorgan’s New York predicts that Apple would launch a cheaper version of iPhone, possible known as iPhone nano. The solid argument is the patent filed by Apple in July over a mobile phone that bears no similarity over the current iPhone. Experts has it that the cheaper iPhone could be launch as early as end of the year, possible before Christmas.

Must be the first iPhone to be broken by a user. I thought the screen is suppose to withstand certain pressure and impact incase it drops, well I just simply couldn’t understand why would Jobs want a glass screen instead of a plastic, at least plastic is lighter and much more durable. Apple has yet to announce it but it has already appear in the Apple’s iPhone website, it seems that we’re now able to buy an iPhone online.

It is still Unclear whether the link will bring the user to AT&T online website or user are given the choice to buy a contract free phone, I would certainly love to see that.

iPhone is going to be a hit, and like what the old saying goes, history will repeat itself and I wonder what precaution has Apple taken to prevent stolen iPhone from being resold and reuse? Would Apple together with AT&T disable the iPhone if the owner report it as being stolen? Would Apple and AT&T cooperate and track down the stolen iPhone?

Its official now, Steve Jobs confirm that there would be no delay for iPhone and it will be release by the end of this month. According to Steve Jobs, the iPhone is powered by Mac OS X and not any other OS as speculated, this explain the reason behind the delay of Mac OS X also known as Leopard for more than four months, and like most of Apple’s gadget, the iphone will be a close system due to security reason.

Now, this leaves us with question such as who are the mobile phone carrier and how much would the final product cost?

Apple set to make 50% margin on iPhone

Rumors has it that Apple is making 50% profit for each iPhone sold, it will cost Apple about $250 to make for the 4GB version. Isn’t this awkward? One of the main reason being is to squeeze as much from the consumer and when sales starts to fall, all Apple has to do is drop the price and sales will bounce back. Just like how they sell iPod with a 50% margin during the early years.
