Creative Zen Stone linux driver

The Creative Zen Stone is going head to head with Apple ipod shuffle, unlike other competitors, Creative is using the “Blue Ocean Strategy” by simply creating a new market. How? Simple, by offering the Zen Stone at half the price of Shuffle.

Nothing much to shout about in term of features, they’re more or less what ipod shuffle is offering, I guess with a price tag of 40 EURO, this gadget would likely be a hit - not as a gift or primary audio devide but as an alternative portable device, for fear of being rob or losing it. It is so darn cheap that you won’t mind getting a second one and break it apart. Much like the Nintendo Wii, by simply not competing with the bigger brother.

Latest iPod Nano and Shuffle

As far as the new iPod shuffle goes, I think the new smaller form factor is a great idea—it’s even tinier than previous nano and from what I’ve heard, its cheaper due to the stiff competition from Sandisk. What Apple nano lack is expandable storage, FM tuner, voice recorder, and video playback. Video playback is not an issue, but after 5 years of ipod and still no FM tuner? Come on Apple, its about time, I want the ability to tune into the radio and listen to what ever channel I want and if possible record it in digital format for future playback - pirates. :)

The world’s smallest digital music player and just $79, the 1GB iPod shuffle lets you wear up to 240 songs on your sleeve. Or your lapel. Or your belt. Clip on iPod shuffle and wear it as a badge of musical devotion. Cool as it may sound but I’m not impress, its like buying a iphone shuffle and you get to dial a random number, still lacking of a FM tuner. Lets hope Apple will release next year.

Apple Next iPod Design?

Rumours has it that Apple is about to redesign a new ipod interface, the image above are a list of potential design from Apple… well not really. I like the clean minimalist design, its neat, but its about time Apple re-design the ipod and give it a fresh new look. Something that brings back the cool factor. How about a LG Chocolate phone look alike with heat sensor keypad? That would be awesome.
