Gecko and Fly was the brainchild of two philosophers after observing the human mind. Hence, the Law of STML was birthed as well. The Law of STML (Short term memory loss) stipulates that the casual observer will never remember the url of a blog unless it is (a) less than four words (b) less than four syllables (c) not one complicated word.

If the content of one’s blog is intriguing, then the casual observer will just bookmark the page as he did with plenty of others. The Law of STML can also be applied in the real world. For instance, people tend to remember names like Sony rather than Panasonic, Prada rather than Edmunser and, (controversial) Apple rather than Microsoft, which would be bankrupt in a matter of decades.
