Nokia’s S60 Touch Interface

Engadget has an interesting post on Nokia’s soon to be release S60 Touch phone, powered by Symbian OS. Apparently, the S60 looks like an iPhone, performs pretty much like an iPhone and the only difference is, Nokia’s S60 is way much powerful and it supports 3rd party application. The only drawback is the lack of is the multi-touch which makes the iPhone so unique.

Can’t wait for an iPhone? The closest thing would be Nokia’s S60, I’m impressed. Read more at Engadget.

nokia 1100 world most popular phone

Simply ask one of your friends what is the most popular gadget in the world and they’re likely to say its the iPod, Wii, PS3 or Motorola Razr, close but then again not close enough. This low end candy bar phone has sold a whooping 200 million units, making it the world’s most popular mobile phone n the world much like Henry Ford and his T-Model, this low-end candybar has put the 100 million iPods, 50 million RAZRs, 10 million Chocolates, and 115 million PlayStation 2 consoles to shame in terms of sheer units moved.

You’re likely to have a friend with a Nokia 1100 than an iPod or Playstation, and the best part is, I used to have a Nokia 1100 and the best feature would be non other than the battery, I only need to charge once every three weeks, yeah it last that long! Can the iPhone pull off such a miracle where the Motorola RAZR failed?

The Nokia N93 is the successor to Nokia N92, a high end entry for geeks and it is pack with features that you don’t even need, for example watch mobile TV on your phone? It comes with DVB-H for watching broadcast TV programs on cell phone, which is of no use unless you’re showing off. The best park is the 3.2 megapixel camera loaded with 3x zoom, yeah, its a Carl Zeiss Lens. The Nokia N93 is also expected to include a QVGA screen, Bluetooth 2. Bluetooth 2? So, what is Bluetooth2?

Nokia announced that deliveries of the new Nokia N93 have begun. Boasting a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, 3x optical zoom and DVD-like video capture, the Nokia N93 also offers advanced connectivity and editing options. You can connect the Nokia N93 directly to your compatible TV for a widescreen movie experience, upload your images and video directly from the handset to select online albums or blogs, and even create high-quality home movies and burn them to DVD with the included Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 software.

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless data exchange protocol designed for a small variety of tasks, like synchronization, voice headsets, cell modem calls, and mouse and keyboard input. Bluetooth 1.0 and Bluetooth 1.2 operate at no faster than 1 megabits per second (Mbps). The new Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR standing for “Enhanced Data Rate”—runs at 3 Mbps.
