Download Opera 10.5 – World’s Fastest Browser

Opera claims their new 10.5 browser is the world’s fastest browser. Maybe they are right for once, with the introduction of new rendering engines and compression technology, I think they’ve found the right formula for a winning browser.
- New JavaScript engine
- Opera Presto 2.5 rendering engine
- Opera Turbo compress Web pages before delivering it to your screen
Having said that, this does not translate into converts. Sometimes it is hard to discard old habits, especially when it comes to adapting to new user interface. With today’s blazing fast broadband speed, speed is not really an issue. They ought to capitalize of their competitor’s weakness, such as a ‘online bookmark’ that sync across different computers and operating system, or seemless integration between chat clients for those with small laptop screens.
Opera 10 Turbo Mode, Fastest Browser

Fast, yes, Opera 10 is really fast. I can’t comment much about it stability. I once was a big fan of Opera, back then it was Opera 1 and 2. I left Opera for Internet Explorer because Opera crashed too often.
Perhaps the biggest feature is the Turbo Mode, known as Opera Turbo. By enabling this feature, you’ll experience a faster surfing experience. How do Opera Turbo works? Instead of grabbing the data from a slower network, Opera reroute the data from the source to a central location and then feed it to the browser, making your surfing faster.

Opera Turbo uses compression technology that provides significant improvements in browsing speeds over limited-bandwidth connections, for example, when using a crowded Wi-Fi in a cafe or browsing through your mobile phone while commuting.
