Why I Stop Reading PCWorld Magazine

I used to be a avid reader of PC magazine, usually I’ll purchase at least 3 different type of magazine in a month for reading but after sometime, this habit of mine died off, why? It is because these PC magazine has nothing but re-runs and the worst part is, they tend to be bias in their reports and analysis. For example, there is this X magazine that I used to subscribe, it has a monthly hardware review and Western Digital sponsor them for the entire year, bombard the magazine with tons of ads and like every magazine publisher, they’ll try to please the advertiser and you won’t want to know which company top the list for best performance, price and reliability for the hard disk review – non other than Western Digital.

With blogs, things has taken a change for good. No longer geeks like me and you rely on these digestive information, these fake information that the advertiser whats the magazine publisher to write, and the first victim would be non other than PCWorld. Apparently one of the editors wrote an article on “Ten Things We Hate About Apple” and was rejected due to unknown reasons.

The consequences? Steve Bass the author for that article and many interesting reviews in PCWorld has decided enough is enough, he took the unthinkable step by resigning from PCWorld.
