Can you believe this? Is this really the office of Steve Ballmer? Isn’t it a little small for a CEO, especially Microsoft CEO - one of the largest and most powerful company in the world with almost total monopoly on the desktop operating system?

If this is true, then it goes to show one thing, these guys don’t care about money or fame, all they want is to kill off their enemies, and I quote Genghis Khan, the mongolian king that rule the world’s biggest empire ever - bigger than Russia.

“It is not enought that I win, all others must lose!”

Microsoft Vista is here and the good news is that CD or is it DVD you bought is worth every penny.

Microsoft’s costs per employee are about $200,000 a year, with a total of 10,000 engineers working on it for 6 years, the estimated payroll costs alone for Vista hover around $10 billion.

$10 billion freaking billion for a operating system, this is a huge sum of money considering the fact that the Manhattan Project that created the atomic bomb during World War II hovers around that sum, not to mention the amount spend almost double certain country’s national budget.

The best part is, Microsoft predicted revenue from now till June 2007 for Windows Vista would be $11 billion. I guess $10 billion is nothing as we all knows that 10,000 engineers did not work on Windows alone for 6 straight years, possibly half of them are onto some other Microsoft projects as well, with Windows Vista off the radar screen Firefox and Google better watch out.

Chairman Mao

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer must be a crazy person to say Microsoft would be greater when he took over.What is wrong with him? He just compared his boss to the father of Chinese communism and what is he hinting at? Who sould be insulted? Bill Gates or Chairman Mao? Will see in the next ten years how accurate his crystal ball is. I doubt about Microsoft’s future looking at how Google and others are promoting online programs that almost render operatin system useless. Sun Microsystem was wrong, Java is not the future, the internet is.

There have been many companies who lost their greatness post their founders. There have been many companies who went on to greater greatness after their founders…. When did China get great? China didn’t get great under Mao Zedong. China got great under — in the recent years — probably got great under Deng Xiaoping.
