PC World has the entire conversation jolted down in text. I like the part where Steve Jobs said:
“When Bill and I first met each other and worked together…generally, we were the youngest guys in the room.” Today, “I’m the oldest guy in the room most of the time.”

Steve Jobs mad at Greenpeace Environmental Report

It appears that Steve Jobs is furious at Greenpeace environmental report on Apple Inc. According to Greenpeace, Apple Inc is not doing enough in eliminating toxic chemicals and ramping up recycling plans. So, the ultimate question from us the consumer point of view - is Apple doing enough?
From a neutral point of view, I couldn’t agree more with Steve Jobs, come to think of it, Apple did phase out CRT monitors which contain significant amounts of lead and not to mention CRT monitor consume 40 - 60% more electricity. In the December 2006 scorecard, Apple ranked lowest, with a rating of 2.7 out of a possible 10. Lenovo, HP and Dell rated 5.3, 5.7 and 7, respectively.
The scorecard from Greenpeace seems to be picking on Apple, another program from Apple is the “Recycling Plan”, where Jobs set a goal that called for Apple to recycle nearly 30% of its products, by weight, by 2010. Currently Apple is recycling 9.5% of its product they sold, which literally means they are very much well ahead of their competitors in helping the environment.

Steve Jobs Did Not Engineer The First Apple Computers
Steve Wozniak was a maths genius, one of the best among the best during his university years. Steve Jobs has no knowledge in building a computers. He is a visionary, someone that sees the future and lead a team of engineer to build that dream. I love your iPod Steve Jobs.
Another misconception that bothered him was the idea that he and Steve Jobs had designed the Apple I and the Apple II together. The sole designer of both those computers was Steve Wozniak. - Valleymag

“I’m Not Impressed by Zune.” said Steve Jobs

What can I say about Microsoft Zune? I’ve yet to get my hands on one and it is highly unlikely I’ll get one ever. Steve Jobs was not impress, the marketing guru that re-shape the entire Apple computers and eventually the way corporate market their product is right about it. I’ve I were given a choice to choose between an iPod and a Zune, I’ll definately go for an iPod even if the price is the same. Maybe iPod has the cool factor and its an Apple, not to mention that Zune’s design is a big let down. Read : Zune vs. iPod
In an interview with Newsweek’s Senior Editor Steven, Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs says he is unconcerned that iPod might lose its cache because it’s too popular. “That’s like saying you don’t want to kiss your lover’s lips because everyone has lips. It doesn’t make any sense,” he tells Levy. “We don’t strive to appear cool. We just try to make the best products we can. And if they are cool, well, that’s great.”

Why Can’t Microsoft Comply With W3C Guidelines?
Jarhead John dropped this comment at Andreas07:
I used the template, and it works fine. However, I recently “upgraded” to IE7, and it doesn’t display properly with it. The sidbar (right) overlaps with the posts. Works fine with IE5,6,NT,etc. Any ideas? You can view it at http://wearredonfridays.blogspot.com/
This is what I fear the most, why can’t the guys at Microsoft follow the W3C guidelines? What the F___K is wrong with them? I have a hard time booting the wordpress theme to blogger, 90% of the times it doesn’t display properly in IE6, its a breeze to comply with Firefox. Microsoft is a big bully and they thinks that the world would be a better place if everyone follow their way. Enough is enough!
I hate to do this, I think its about time people say no for a change. Well, we can’t unseat Microsoft in the OS market anymore, but what we can do is use firefox, download firefox and stop using IE. Support Google and others.
Ironically, I’ve just finish reading the Icon, a book about Steve Jobs. Apple and their Macintosh is very much a closed system, between Microsoft and Apple, there is more freedom in programming and upgrading your computers when it comes to Microsoft system… I guess I have to choose the lesser evils - Microsoft. That’s ironic.

Apple To Announce iTunes Movie Rentals
Another three weeks before the Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference kicks off, and it is widely believed that CEO steve Jobs will use the keynote to address some Apple issues - his retirement. Okay, maybe it might be true since Bill Gates is retiring also, now the real issue is the debut of movie rentals through the iTunes Music Store.
Personally I love the idea, imagine able to rent movies for a limited time, certain movies are worth collecting while others simply belongs in the rubbish bin after watching it once. Apple is said to have ironed out agreements with Walt Disney, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, and Warner Bros., and is currently in talks with other major movie studios as well. The problem with this big movie studio is the non-tech savvy CEO, still doing things the old ways.
The system works by stamping a deadline/limited views for every movie downloaded from the online store, after a few round of watching, the movie might stop playing - What to do? Makes me wonder if we back date our computer date, will it works?
