What is Sustainability? Sustainability is the act of balancing between human action and mother nature. Do we really need that plastic bag? Can’t we just carry it with our own hands? More often than not, we waste too much resources on unnecessary things. For the sake of future generations, it is time we act by consuming less. Ask yourself, do we need a new smartphone? A new car when the 10 year old car is still working well?
Watch the video above – Sir David Attenborough has an update from Blue Planet II about our plastic consumption. We humans are like viruses to the planet, and like our own human immune system, our body heats up to kill the virus just like the planet is heating up to get rid of the human virus.
When you put the whole picture together. Recycling is the right thing to do. – Pam Shoemaker
Surely we have a responsibility to leave for future generations a planet that is healthy and habitable by all species – Sir David Attenborough
There is no such thing as ‘away’ when we throw anything away. It must go somewhere. – Annie Leonard
When we destroy something created by man, we call it vandalism, but when we destroy something by nature, we call it progress. – Ed Begley Jr.
Reducing our levels of consumption will not be a sacrifice but a bonus if we simply redefine the meaning of the word ‘success.’ – David Wann
What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another. – Mahatma Gandhi
