Can I install Norton Antivirus and Kaspersky on my laptop? or can I install McAfee and AVG on the same desktop? The answer is no. The reason being that having two or more antivirus software installed on a system will cause Microsoft Windows to be sluggish, this is because both anti-virus will try to out-scan each other.

Running multiple antivirus is not a wise thing to do, not impossible but unwise. Some people feel safer with 2 antivirus instead of 1, but they are not aware by installing multiple antivirus will causes the laptop or computer to freeze randomly, if not, Windows will lag badly.
Having said that, running two antivirus programs is not impossible with a third party software. Here are 4 multi-av scanner that enables you to install multiple antivirus.

↓ 03 – JottiQ [ Discontinued ] – Scan files with 20 different antivirus engines
JottiQ is a free tool that makes it more convenient to use Jotti’s online malware scanner. It acts as a go-between and relays the suspect files to Jotti’s website.
When we need to scan a suspicious file with multiple antivirus, we use VirusTotal to check. VirusTotal requires you to upload the files. JottiQ on the other hand doesn’t require you to upload the file, just right click and scan the file. JottiQ will automatically upload and scan it online.
JottiQ is a tool that makes it more convenient to use Jotti’s malware scan, which is an online service optimized for one-by-one scanning of files you do not trust. Its purpose is that of an investigative tool, for when you do not trust a file you came across but your current security software seems to think it is as harmless a file as they come. It is not meant to replace your virus scanner, nor is it meant to scan the heaps and heaps of nasty things that float around on your computer because you are too cheap/lazy/picky to get software that is meant for that purpose.
↓ 04 – Kims – Local Multi Antivirus Scanner
Unlike JottiQ, Kims requires you to install the antivirus onto your computer. It doesn’t upload the file to a central server.
The KIMS was the first local and web multi scan of the world which last version came out on 2006 programed by Thor. In 2009 it began being developed to the new version by hands of DSR!
description: Its function is to scan 1 or more files with many AVs and also administer and updtae from the same GUI. This Program does not leave any AV in you PC or at least that’s the idea, but not all AV allow scanning without their services (AVG for example).
how it works: first you have to download the console version (preferably) of the AVs that you want to use, for that click on the button download and follow the instructions step by step, be carefull with with the ones that require intervention to install once downloaded, don’t scan anything yet, update the AVs.
